AIM
(Achievable Individual Measures) |
Comprehensive
Risk Counseling & Services (CRCS) for HIV+ clients and their partners at
PCAF and Oasis.
Five-session intervention where, with the help of the Prevention Counselor,
clients develop an individual plan to reduce their risk of transmitting HIV,
getting re-infected, or getting infected (if partner is HIV negative). |

BUST |
Lesbian,
bisexual & transgender women’s program at Oasis. Bust provides
culturally appropriate, gender specific health education
and resources for young women who attend Oasis. |

Keepers of the Flame |
A
three-session STI prevention program for African American women who have
tested positive for a non-viral STI. The goal of
Keepers of the Flame is to reduce STI/HIV infection by educating and
empowering African American women. |

Oasis |
A support
center for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth
between the ages of 14 and 24. Support groups,
educational activities, crisis intervention, and social and recreational
activities are offered to nearly 300 youth each year. *includes
Passport, Queers Kick Ash and Bust numbers |

Queers Kick Ash |
A one of a
kind, smoking cessation program specifically designed for GLBTQ youth
and implemented at Oasis. The Queers Kick Ash
program uses a variety of techniques including peer education, role
modeling, support groups, media materials and vouchers for
medical cessation services to encourage youth to reduce or quit smoking. |

SISTA |
Sisters
Informing Sisters About Topics on AIDS is a Center for Disease Control
HIV intervention for African American women between
the ages of 14 and 29. The SISTA project brings together small groups of
African American women to educate and inform about
the intersections of race, gender, age, HIV and sexual health |

Stafford Creek Project |
Comprehensive
Risk Counseling and Services (CRCS) for HIV+ clients/inmates at Stafford Creek
Correctional Center.
Five-session intervention where, with the help of the Prevention Counselor,
clients/inmates develop an individual plan to reduce their risk of
transmitting HIV or getting re-infected upon release from prison. |

Resource Center |
Provides
safer sex materials; condoms, dental dams and lubricant and resources
including, brochures, articles, books, periodicals and
videotapes for clients and community members.
• Distributed 23,450 condoms/latex barriers
• Distributed 7,776 pamphlets, brochures and posters
• Assured that resource materials are up to date, medically accurate,
culturally appropriate, and available in multiple formats and
languages, when possible. |

Unity Now |
An HIV/AIDS
outreach and education program for African American and women of color
focused on raising awareness in faith
based organizations of the impact of HIV on communities of color. The Unity
Now Program coordinates the Black Church Week
of Prayer for the Healing of AIDS in collaboration with the Balm in Gilead,
the Tacoma Ministerial Alliance and other local faith
organizations. |
